1. Platform Terms of Service

1.1 About MoveRef

MoveRef ("Platform", "we", "us") is a referral platform that connects moving companies with referral agents (apartment leasing agents, real estate agents, and independent referral partners). MoveRef is not a moving company and does not provide moving services.

1.2 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to enter binding agreements. Business accounts must be authorized representatives of their organization.

1.3 Account Access

MoveRef operates on an invite-only basis. Accounts are created through our application process or by invitation from an existing organization. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.

1.4 Platform Data

MoveRef owns and operates the platform database. Users may not scrape, export, or redistribute platform data without written permission. Referral data, contact information, and pipeline data belong to the platform.

1.5 Revenue Verification

MoveRef reserves the right to verify reported move revenue through customer surveys, invoice review, and market benchmarking. Deliberate underreporting of revenue is grounds for account suspension.

1.6 Dispute Resolution

Disputes between platform users will be resolved through MoveRef's internal dispute resolution process. Unresolved disputes may be escalated to binding arbitration in Dallas County, Texas.

1.7 Modifications

MoveRef may modify these terms with 30 days notice via email to registered users. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

1.8 Limitation of Liability

MoveRef is not liable for the quality, timeliness, or outcome of any moving service. We facilitate referrals only. MoveRef's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to MoveRef in the 12 months preceding any claim.

1.9 Termination

Either party may terminate their account with 30 days written notice. MoveRef reserves the right to immediately suspend accounts that violate these terms. Outstanding balances remain due upon termination.

2. Moving Company Agreement

By signing up as a Moving Company on MoveRef, you agree to the following additional terms:

2.1 Billing

MoveRef invoices Moving Companies monthly for completed referrals. Each invoice includes:

• Referral Fees: The per-referral rate you set (minimum $25 per referral). This covers the agent payout and platform fee.
• Commission: A percentage of actual move revenue as agreed (default 4%, negotiable for early partners).

2.2 Payment Terms

Invoices are due upon receipt and are charged automatically to your payment method on file. Failed payments are retried automatically. Accounts past due for 30+ days may be suspended.

2.3 Revenue Reporting

You agree to accurately report actual move revenue for each completed referral. Revenue is subject to verification through customer surveys, invoice review, and market benchmarking. MoveRef may adjust billing amounts based on verification data.

2.4 Invoice Upload

A customer invoice or proof of service must be uploaded when marking a referral as "completed." This is required for billing and verification purposes.

2.5 Referral Fee Control

You control your per-referral fee rate (minimum $25). This rate is visible to referral agents. Higher rates may attract more and better referrals. Rate changes apply to new completions only.

2.6 Right to Audit

MoveRef may review invoices and contact customers to verify reported revenue. Three voided referrals due to fraudulent reporting in any 30-day period is grounds for account suspension.

3. Referral Agent Agreement

By signing up as a Referral Agent on MoveRef, you agree to the following additional terms:

3.1 Earnings

You earn per completed referral at the rate set by the Moving Company (displayed before submission). MoveRef retains a platform fee (default 10%) from your referral earnings.

3.2 Payouts

Payouts are processed weekly via Stripe to your connected bank account. Minimum payout threshold is $25. Earnings below the threshold accumulate to the next payout cycle.

3.3 Payout Timing

Payouts are processed after the Moving Company pays their monthly invoice. You will not be paid for referrals until the MC's invoice is settled.

3.4 Platform Rules

• No fake, duplicate, or fraudulent referrals
• No submitting referrals for people who have not consented
• No soliciting or poaching from other agents' referrals
• You must have a legitimate relationship with or access to the person being referred

3.5 Account Status

Your account may be deactivated by your source management (if affiliated) or by MoveRef for violations of these terms. Three bad referral disputes in any 30-day period will trigger an account review.

3.6 Independent Contractor

Referral Agents are independent contractors, not employees of MoveRef or any Moving Company. You are responsible for your own taxes on earnings received through the platform.
